One Water
Challenge
Launch and raise awareness of ‘One water’ (which funds children’s roundabout ‘Playpumps’ that provide clean water to African villages) with virtually zero budget.
Solution
Guy (one of the joint MDs) is a founder of One water. We developed all creative work for this launch campaign pro bono, and set out on a crusade to negotiate media space at no cost.
We also delivered a viral campaign (via both social marketing and more traditional on-line techniques) that successfully recruited advocates and used them to lobby their retailers to list One water.
Results
At a cost of c. £20k, we delivered £816k of awareness activity.
One water is now stocked in the majority of major multiples …and exceeded sales of 10m bottles last year. One is currently funding a new roundabout every four days.
BURN works with One water and also the newly launched One condoms and One Vitamin Water.
